An artifact is anything used by humans. It may be a tool, weapon, a piece of art, or pottery. During their journeys to far away places, the explorers would often take artifacts or draw pictures of the things that they had seen. Your chest must contain at least one artifact or something that your explorer has discovered. You should use the information from the Explorer Research Table to decide on what sort of artifact that your explorer would have wanted to bring back to his sponsoring country. The artifact may be drawn, but extra credit will be given if an object is made and presented.
