You are now sitting on a panel from the Boston History Museum. You will evaluate whether or not the treasure chests presented are authentic. Use the checklist below to evaluate each presentation.

¨Description of Explorer’s life and major accomplishments was accurate.

¨Explorer Journal was accurate and detailed.

¨Navigation tool(s) were detailed and explanation accurate.

¨Map of the explorer’s route was detailed and accurate.

¨Artifact(s) were detailed and accurate.

¨Timeline was detailed and accurate.

¨Presentation was professional, knowledgeable, and believable.

 

 

If you checked 6 or more of the boxes above you may announce that the group’s presentation is a success and that in your professional opinion that the treasure chest is authentic. If you checked only 5 or less, you may tell the group that you have doubts to the authenticity of their chest and that if they want to do more work and present to the President of the Museum, the teacher, at a later date they may.
