Introduction

This WebQuest was created to accompany and augment the fifth grade History and Social Science curriculum at the Barnstable Horace Mann Charter School. It was created to address the Massachusetts History and Social Science Curriculum Frameworks covering Pre- Columbian Civilizations of the New World and European Exploration, Colonization and Settlement to 1700.

In this WebQuest students will work in groups and create treasure chests that may have belonged to famous European Explorers. Once they have created all of the objects that need to be in the treasure chest, they will act as archeologists and present their findings to a panel to be judged.
